Happy People and How They Think

How to get happy people mindset

Happiness is something we all long for, but the path to achieving it often seems hidden. No one envies those who are sad or struggling, but when we encounter someone living a life of peace, gratitude, and joy, we can’t help but admire them.

These happy people move through life effortlessly, balancing challenges and emotions without ever revealing their secrets. But now, the door to their wisdom is open. Here’s how you can create a happy, fulfilling life for yourself—starting today.

Know who matters to you

Listen, this shift in how you view things will seriously help you out. You won’t be giving anyone more power over you than they deserve. Unless someone is truly important to you, their opinions and words won’t even matter because, honestly, they don’t deserve to. You’ll start to see that those people who usually make you feel down won’t have the same impact anymore.

They can’t manipulate you because you’ll see right through it. These people, whether they’re manipulative parents or others, will just feel like background noise. You’ll keep your guard up, and their words won’t touch you. It’s like building an emotional shield that blocks out the negativity.

On the flip side, you’ll be investing your time and energy in people who actually matter—people who love and care about you. This makes life way easier because you’ll be focusing on the relationships that uplift you, not the ones that drain you.

You deserve to spend your energy on people who give it back, not on those who leave you feeling empty. Remember, your energy is precious—don’t waste it on people who don’t deserve it.

Find joy in new hobbies!

Starting a journey of self-discovery can be incredibly rewarding. Exploring various activities might reveal new interests and passions you never knew existed. Engaging in new experiences not only helps you connect with your inner child but also brings a sense of joy and fulfillment into your life.

For instance, if you find yourself drawn to swimming, this newfound interest can provide you with a deeper sense of purpose and satisfaction. It’s like uncovering a hidden treasure within yourself that enhances your overall well-being.

Connecting with happy, positive individuals often enriches your life. While social interactions at work or school can sometimes be stress-filled and focused on tasks, true friendships should offer a space for relaxation and joy. Instead of discussing work-related topics or gossiping, which can increase stress, use your leisure time to bond over shared interests like sports, arts, or personal adventures.

Engaging in hobbies and activities outside of your professional environment can rejuvenate your spirit and allow you to express your authentic self. This balance helps you maintain a professional demeanor while also embracing your playful and creative side.

Find a hobby that resonates with you and allows you to explore and enjoy your free time. The more you cultivate this personal joy, the more vibrant and fulfilling your life will become.

Life is full of adventures, creative pursuits, and spontaneous moments. Seek out the experiences that speak to your heart and let them bring you joy and personal growth.

Get Busy

In our previous discussion, we explored how to make the most of your free time. Now, let’s address why unplanned, idle time can be detrimental to your well-being.

Unstructured free time often leads to overthinking and self-doubt. It can make you focus on things you might normally overlook, causing unnecessary stress and negative self-talk. Instead of using your time constructively, you might find yourself aimlessly watching TV, scrolling through social media, or indulging in junk food.

Staying active and engaged, however, brings numerous benefits. It helps you achieve your goals, build your character, and connect with others. This proactive approach makes you feel more in control and fulfilled.

Excessive idle time can lead to self-judgment and comparison with others, diminishing your sense of accomplishment and leaving you feeling unproductive. While occasional relaxation is essential, overdoing it can steal your joy and weaken your personal growth.

Remember, your time is precious. Use it wisely to engage in activities that make you genuinely happy and satisfied. Avoid wasting it on pursuits that offer no long-term value. Embrace activities that enrich your life and foster personal development.

Embrace Your Blessings and Find Joy

You are truly blessed, cherished, and surrounded by everything you need—even if you might not realize it. Many people would be overjoyed to have the life you’re living. Sure, we all face challenges, but these shouldn’t overshadow the gratitude you can feel for what you already have.

Think about how many dreams you’re living today that your younger self once wished for. Imagine them seeing you now and feeling unhappy despite living their dream. It’s time to honor their dreams by appreciating what you have.

Our minds are wired to focus on problems, making it easy to overlook our blessings. Start by recognizing and appreciating the small joys in your life. Make a habit of noting three things you’re grateful for each day.

It sounds simple, but this practice can profoundly transform your life. By focusing on the positives, you’ll find more reasons to smile and enjoy your days.

Remember, no life is perfect, and everyone has their struggles. The key is to shift your focus toward what brings you happiness and fulfillment. Try it, and watch how your perspective—and your life—changes.

Journaling is a way to happiness

Since I was a little girl dreaming of a life like Barbie’s, I’ve always seen journaling as a way to add a touch of magic and romance to my life. What I didn’t realize was just how transformative it could be.

Yes, journaling has the power to change your life.

It can be incredibly healing—perhaps even more so than therapy (though I’ve never been to one). Journaling helps you let go of past distractions and focus on the present.

We all carry our share of challenges and traumas. When you begin journaling, aim to be positive with your words. Think of your life as a story or a fairytale, with you as the main character. Write as if you’re telling this story to your younger self.

Imagine your younger self watching this story unfold as a movie. What would you want them to hear? Write those things down and strive to live in a way that would excite that little version of you.

It might seem a bit whimsical, but the impact of journaling is profound. It can empower you and fill you with hope, much like the superheroes we admire.

Tonight, in your cozy pajamas, take some time to write your story. Let it be a canvas for your dreams, painting your life with the colors you love.

You deserve all the joy and happiness the world has to offer. Embrace this practice and give yourself the space to express your feelings and thoughts freely.

Watch Your Thoughts

Many of our problems stem from overthinking. Often, our struggles are more in our minds than in our actual lives. That’s why it’s essential to be mindful of your thoughts.

Don’t let your mind take the wheel. Be the driver of your own life and steer it in the direction you want to go.

Our minds are designed to keep us safe, but they don’t necessarily focus on our happiness. As long as you’re safe, your mind is content. But is mere safety all you want from life? Or are you seeking adventure and fulfillment?

While we can’t escape the reality of death, we can choose to live fully during the time we have. You can either embrace life’s opportunities or spend it hiding away. The choice is yours.

Embrace Your Own Path to Happiness

Growing up, I often heard my grandma say things like, “Clean the house because people will talk,” or “Do this so people will approve.” I found it frustrating.

Many people spend their lives trying to prove their worth to others, losing sight of who they truly are. This can lead to feelings of depression and anxiety.

It’s crucial to make your own decisions in life, even if they turn out to be mistakes. These experiences are essential for feeling in control and discovering your unique path. Everyone has a personal mission in life, one that only they can achieve by following their own instincts.

When you let others dictate your choices, you surrender your opportunity for true happiness. Real fulfillment comes from learning through your own mistakes and finding paths you didn’t know existed.

Trust your instincts, embrace the journey, and don’t let others’ opinions steer your life. By doing so, you’ll unlock doors to happiness you never imagined, a kind of joy that no one can take away.

Remember, you are the main character in your own story. Your decisions should be the final word and the most impactful.

Embrace All your Feelings with Love

It’s completely normal to feel emotions you might not enjoy, but pushing them away or ignoring them can be harmful. Instead, try to welcome your feelings with kindness. The way to move past sadness or any other emotion is to let yourself truly experience it.

Don’t push aside your feelings just because they’re uncomfortable. If someone has hurt you, it’s important to feel that pain to eventually heal. Pretending it doesn’t matter only makes things worse.

To find happiness, you need to let your emotions flow naturally. When you don’t acknowledge your feelings, they can stick around and affect your well-being long-term. Facing sadness, even if it’s tough, is better than letting it quietly diminish your joy over time.

You can’t fully embrace happiness if you haven’t dealt with the pain. To release it, you first need to feel it. Embrace all your emotions—pain, disappointment, joy, love, and everything in between.

Be gentle with yourself. Treat yourself to a comforting hug or a warm cup of cocoa when you’re feeling down. Think of every emotion as a color in the painting of your life. By experiencing and embracing each one, you create a richer, more beautiful picture.

Some emotions, like grief, can be particularly hard to handle. Be patient and compassionate with yourself as you work through them.

Solve Your Money Problems

Sometimes, love or money can feel like obstacles to our fullest happiness. But don’t worry—I’m here to help you navigate through these challenges with a warm heart.

Start by exploring what you’re truly passionate about. What skills or talents do you have that could be turned into a source of income? If you’re unsure, remember that there are countless online platforms ready to help you find your niche. Dive into what excites you, and you might discover opportunities you hadn’t imagined.

Think of this as painting a new chapter of your life. Choose the emotions that resonate with you. If happiness fuels your creativity, make the process fun and lighthearted. If a more serious approach suits you better, that’s perfectly fine too.

There’s no “right” or “wrong” way to go about this. It’s your life, and you have the freedom to shape it as you wish. What truly matters is finding a path that brings you both joy and financial comfort.

You deserve to create a life that makes you happy and fulfilled. Embrace this journey with an open heart and trust that you’re moving toward a brighter, more satisfying future.

Treat yourself with love

You might not realize it, but how you treat yourself can influence how others perceive and treat you. Let me explain.

When you first meet someone, you notice their appearance and form impressions about how they should be treated. But you’re also observing how they treat themselves. If they treat themselves with kindness and respect, it’s natural to think they deserve the same from you.

So, if you treat yourself like royalty, others will often see you as someone deserving of respect and admiration. It’s a powerful opportunity to set the tone for how you’re treated in life.

By loving yourself and showing the world that you value who you are, you’re creating a nurturing environment for your own happiness. When you’re surrounded by kindness and self-love, it’s much easier to find joy.

I understand that this might take some time, but believe me, it’s worth it. You’re not manipulating anyone; instead, you’re setting a positive standard for yourself and others.

Even if you’re facing tough times, embracing a “fake it till you make it” mindset can be a powerful tool. If those around you see you as happy, worthy, and capable, their belief can help you see yourself in the same light. This shift in perspective can inspire you to pursue the happiness and success you deserve.

Remember, how you treat yourself sets the stage for how others will respond. Embrace self-love, and let it guide you to the fulfilling life you deserve.

Start Noticing the Little Details

Happiness often finds those who are fully present in the moment. It’s about savoring every little detail—the gentle breeze in your hair, the mesmerizing sunset, the soothing sensation of water beneath your feet, or the joy of being with someone you love.

Happy people tend to radiate positivity. They see the light even when others are consumed by darkness. There’s always something good in every situation; you just need to seek it out. Start looking for reasons to smile and feel joy, rather than focusing on sadness.

What you focus on is what you attract, dear. If you direct your energy towards finding reasons to laugh and be happy, that’s what you’ll experience more of.

So, let yourself revel in the simple pleasures—the rain falling softly, a gentle touch, a loving kiss, the cozy softness of your bed. These details are there for you to enjoy. Don’t let them pass by unnoticed.

Embrace the beauty around you and let yourself truly experience it. Don’t just admire it from afar; be the one who fully enjoys and appreciates it.
